When asked what is most important, Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’” (Mt. 22:37–39 NIV)
To love is to communicate. Heritage Park Alliance Church needs a sign to SPEAK to our community. We need two signs – one on Sixth Concession that can be seen if you are traveling east/west, and one on Huron Church Line that can been seen if you are travelling north/south. Both signs will be attractive and thoughtful designs that will add to the sense of community our neighbours already have with each other.
To love is to serve. Heritage Park Alliance Church needs a kitchen to SERVE to our community. Our servery and café might be sufficient to meet our present needs, but it lacks the capacity to really minister to the community. In order to provide full Alpha meals, a home-cooked café menu, and the capacity for sit-down community dinners, we will need a larger kitchen. A full service, stainless steel kitchen, with a commercial dishwasher will also open the doors to more community impact through increased Children’s Ministry and conference services.
To love is to bless. Heritage Park Alliance Church needs a playground to BLESS our community. We had one at our prior location that was used and enjoyed by many families. Additionally, Kids Camp kids are often playing outside and a playground would be a benefit to our program. The playground would also be available for use by the children in the community.
To love is to grow together. Heritage Park Alliance Church needs a mid-week service so our community can GROW and worship in a time that fits their hectic schedule. We’re starting Church on Wednesday. Beginning September 12 at 6:45pm service will run weekly on Wednesday nights.
These initiatives will be costly to set up. Signs, kitchens, and playgrounds are expensive. We need half a million dollars to do this right, and our community is a place where things are done right. Please prayerfully consider donating and/or signing up to volunteer today!
